What’s up rave fam, it’s been a hot minute! It goes without saying that COVID-19 had put a damper on the music festival scene last year. Ravers were left with a nostalgia for the spiritual experiences and personal connections that we once indulged in at those events. Let’s face it, elements of raves like the mesmerising laser lights that captures the rhythm of the music, totems that represent our “tribes”, and the PLUR culture simply can’t be substituted by house parties. Despite the uncertainty of safety rules, many organisers are confirming the comeback of myriads of music festivals. Reading this is giving you FOMO? Beyond Wonderland
Beyond: Aug 27–28, 2021 | NOS Events Center, San Bernardino, California
One of my favourite quote from Beyond Wonderland is “When day breaks in Wonderland, a playful and colorful cast of characters emerges. All manner of flora and fauna entertain the Queen and her Royal Court, while fantastical animals of all shapes and sizes run wild.” No matter how different our music tastes are, we can all agree what makes raves so good is that it allows us to see the world the way it should be seen. It’s a marvelous and fantastical realm that’s beyond imagination, a world where the colors shine brighter and a world where all are welcomed and none are judged. Beyond Wonderland is set to take place on Aug 27-28 in SoCal this year. The lineup includes Alison Wonderland, Diplo, Andrew Bayer, UMEK, Tiesto and Jason Ross, etc.

Bass Canyon
August 20-22 | George, WA
Ready for the return of 3-days and nights of non-stop bass music? Arguably the best festival that reunites bassheads and headbangers, Bass Canyon is set to take place at the Gorge Amphitheater in Washington State. The quinessential bass festival features lengendary headliner Excision as well as DJs like ILLENIUM, Liquid Stranger, PEEKABOO, LUZIC, Slander, Dion Timmer etc. Excision will take the stage for three sets, including his signature Detox set as well as an exclusive back-to-back with ILLENIUM.
Electric Zoo
Sep 3-5, 2021 | Randall's Island Park, NY
Known as one of the most beloved music festivals in New York, every year Electric Zoo curates a lineup of tops djs in the realm of trance, dubstep, techno, you name it! Some of the big names include ILLENIUM, PEEKABOO, JOYRYDE and Cosmic Gate. It will take place on Randall’s Island in New York over Labor Day Weekend from September 3-5. Electric Zoo also announced that all the tickets will be refunded at the full value if the event is cancelled due to COVID-19.

Lost Lands
September 24-26, 2021 | Legend Valley, OH
Calling all the bassheads and trapheads, time to “throw your X up” again! Presented by the one of the top dubstep DJs Excision aka Jeff Abel, Lost Lands is a three-day dinosaur-themed music festival that features a lineup of dubstep, trap, techno, drum and bass and house music. The official dates are Sep 24-26. The last lineup included Excision B2B Illenium, Slander B2B Spagg Heddy, Zedds Dead and more. According to their official website, “You're encouraged to escape the confines of the world outside and and find yourself in an immersive environment environment surrounded by dinosaurs, beats and bass".
Oct 29-30, 2021 | NOS Event Center, San Bernardino, CA
Who doesn’t like an unorthodox, horror themed music festivals with carnival rides and spooky art installations? After all, ravers are known as adrenaline junkies and thrill seekers. If you’re wondering how to spend your Halloween this year, then look no further than ESCAPE: Psycho Circus presented by Insomniac on Halloween. Every year ESCAPE showcases one of the most diverse lineups from trance, trap, bass house, progressive house to dubstep. The last lineup included Valentino Khan, RL Grime, Excision, DEADMAU5, Said the Sky and Chris Lake, etc.
Electric Daisy Carnival (EDC)
Las Vegas: Oct 22-24, 2021
Orlando: Nov 12-14, 2021
When people talk about raves, EDC always considering it’s the most anticipated electronic dance music festival featuring over-the-top production. Despite the disappoiting postponement earlier this year, EDC is set to take place on October 22-24 in 2021 as one of the biggest festivals to return to the U.S. EDC has recently unveiled the lineup including Alesso, Excision, ARTBAT, Cosmic Gate, Zedd, Zomboy, JOYRYDE and more!
